How Voice to Text works

This tool uses the Web Speech API — a speech recognition engine built into modern browsers. When you click the microphone, your browser requests microphone access and starts streaming audio to its recognition engine. Chrome sends audio to Google's servers for processing, while Safari uses Apple's on-device recognition. The API returns both interim (partial) and final results in real time, which appear in the transcript area as you speak. No audio is stored or sent to our servers — the entire process is between your browser and its built-in engine.
